NZLPE PREP was founded in 2015 with the objective of supporting candidates in preparing for the examinations necessary to become a licensed solicitor in New Zealand.

Although NZLPE PREP will not guarantee that candidates pass the examinations using the study materials and tutoring support made available to them here, we will say that if a candidate prepares well using these resources in the order and manner as advised, the likelihood of success is significant.

Unlike our competitor, we do not limit tutoring to 30 minutes for a candidate and we offer personalised guidance.

Statement from the Founder:

​

My name is Jennifer Tate Thompson. I am a US attorney licensed to practise in Massachusetts and Texas. I am also licensed to practise in New Zealand. 

I have a hard time staying in one place, so I have sat THREE bar exams! I had success on each exam on my first attempt, which I attribute to excellent study skills.

Currently my law practice is located on the sunny beaches of the Gulf of Mexico in Texas. Nevertheless, my mind often drifts back to New Zealand where I spent three years practising law.

 

New Zealand is as wonderful as you may have heard. I enjoyed my time there immensely and I am confident I will be there again someday.

My love for the country is so great that I really want to help others realise their dreams of practising law in New Zealand.
